Who We Are
My name is Dimitris Tsompanoudis and I am the founder of Drops of Life.
The idea to create this organization, with a central focus on "water in Tanzania," was born after a trip I took there. I had traveled for a volunteer program with the goal of building toilets at a school. Since we needed water for the cement, we had to carry it from a river.
Gradually, we began wondering where the village people got their water from, since there was no borehole—and that's when we realized they drank straight from the river, which wasn't clean. With that NGO, we ultimately managed to provide the village with a borehole. Nevertheless, something inside me wouldn't settle.
Thoughts like "And now what?", "There are others too," and "Is that all?" started swirling in my mind, until on May 29th I decided to start my own mission.
My goal is to fund boreholes and document the journey...
Our Vision

At “Drops of Life”, we believe that every person deserves access to clean, drinkable water — no matter where they live or what their circumstances are. Our vision is to create a world where no child goes thirsty, where hope rises from every well, and humanity flows from one person to another, like a drop finding its way.
Starting in Tanzania, we want to bring light and dignity to places facing poverty and unequal access to basic resources. We are not just a charity — we are a movement of souls coming together for one shared goal: to prove that compassion can change lives.
One drop is not enough. But thousands together can create a waterfall of change.
What We’ve Achieved
At the time this text was written, Drops of Life was just a few months old, but it has already achieved some small yet significant successes. Beyond holding the official launch—the first crucial step—we now have our own physical headquarters.
We also have our own website, which I hope you're enjoying. We've established a solid presence on social media, we have our partners in Tanzania whom I met during my trip there a few months ago, and—most importantly—we already have our own projects in progress.
Our goal is to complete some of these by May 29th, when we'll celebrate Drops of Life's birthday in Tanzania.
